The rather awesome O’Messy Life are having a gig to celebrate the launch of their New Single. You can find out more about the single HERE. I was asked by the band to produce a poster for their double A side single, featuring the songs Little Vehicles and Space Holiday, which will be out on 23rd April 2012. As they’re inspired by Heaven’s Gate suicide cult I based my colour scheme around the fact that the victims were covered in a purple cloth and dressed in black. I’ve also included the silhouette of the mansion where the 39 members of the group had committed suicide, and the Hale-Bopp comet which was the trigger for the mass suicide.

I created the illustrations while John created visuals for websites, brochures and promotional products, onto which my illustrations were then placed. I really enjoyed this project and although we did not win the tender it was a really great experience working with John and seeing my illustration brought to life in different contexts.
